Good to see u today Steve and Mrs Steve.

Sorry too about your potentiometer ...not good reading ...makes me concerned.

I am toying with the idea of ordering a new Morgan...but this sort of feedback makes me think twice!

When I go on the £££ configurator on the MMC web site the cost of a new mid spec car is way over £44k....certainly not to be taken lightly.

I need to be sure that there will only be Minor snagging issues to worry about.

If I spent that money on say a BMW I would not expect any problems ...and probably not get any!

Thanks Neil, a good day despite my moaning about dodgy dimmers! Didn't seem to have much time for a natter with so much to walk around and see, some lovely cars.
I wouldn't let my issue put you off a new Morgan, it wouldn't me.. It's irritating that's all and I'd put my Morgan before any BMW or similar anyway.
One positive thing is I now know my way around my fuse box so no bad thing!

Unfortunately, it's more '70's BL than a 2015 Morgan has any right to be & makes you wonder about the bits you haven't found...yet...

I didn't know there was one ... (where is it?)

I just noticed this week (after more than a year) the small LED on the dash, I assume for immobiliser? I'm guessing mine doesn't light up or I'd have noticed it before.

I only had one snag so far, which I noticed at purchase but left so far as it amused me - the rear fog and reversing light are in the LHD positions, on my RHD car. I might have them swapped at the next service now that the novelty has worn off ...

My dimmer goes from really really dim to just really dim with the switch, driving at night is almost impossible to see the instruments.

I am sure+ that MMC have a department that takes perfectly normal parts and then "Morganises" them by using them in a more inappropriate setting.

Gulf - pressing that button shifts the odometer display to a trip meter. When in trip mode, keeping it pressed resets it to zero.
If you press it and then turn on the ignition with it still pressed it allows setting of the code that the speedometer needs so that it reads correctly!!

Cheers!

Btw - still haven't seen you home here in the Emerald Isle!!

The immobiliser light on the 4/4 dash is a dummy.....carried over from the Plus4....which does work. If you look under the dash, you will see an led flashing on the electronics module mounted to the bulkhead.

Hi Robbie, thanks! I never use trip mode so I'll ignore it, but now I know!

So far I've only had one run home in the Morgan! I'll give you a heads up next time I do. My wife recently spotted a dark blue 07 around Waterford, a couple of times in fact.

Excellent knowledge! Thanks Jays.
