I will be still using my MTW on the odd occasion we get a sunny dry day through the winter, I bought a battery conditioner through my supplying dealer, I was hoping just to plug it in to the jackpoint under the dash and leave it on for weeks if necessary, is this not advisable?

I hook up a battery tender on all my toys every month for 2 days or so. And when its time for the drive season, i re-tender them & they are all set & ready to go

All I use is a float charger plugged into the socket under the dash. This not only keeps up the battery but it keeps in all the electronic settings--and my sweetie will never know I've ignored her for a few weeks.
