Hi Guys,
Have been enjoying my first Morgan a 2011 1.6 Sigma powered 4/4 since May having previously been an MG owner.
I have now decided that there are a couple of things I would like to change on the car. The first being the steering wheel which is of the Morgan type and the second the rear view mirror which is the black plastic type and gives a rather poor jittery rear view.
I was thinking of fitting a Mota Lita wheel any advice on what model should consider / fit? I note there Mota Lita do an offset version. Are these worth considering? (I am a big chap). The mirror appears to be easy to replace from Librands

We;come to TM. I also have a 2011 4/4 Sport - they rock!
I have the 14" wooden 3 spoke Mota Lita wheel which i love. Steering is nice and light. I'm 6'2 & 14 stone (on a good day) and have loads of room so wouldn;t myself go for an offset wheel but others with one on here might disagree! I like my wheel to look balanced all the way around.
The Librand mirror is also the solution for that plastic thing too.
Enjoy your Mog.

I have a 2013 4/4 and love it to bits. However I hated the steering wheel and tin top plastic mirror. I've replaced the wheel with a leather rimmed Mota Lita and think it looks great. The mirror has been replaced by a Librands type mirror fitted by Allon Whites and goes so much better with the car than the original. I've finished off the dash by fitting silver rims to the warning lights supplied by wolf race, a bit of a fiddle to do but sets off beautifully what is in my view an already attractive panel.
I hope you enjoy your car as much as I do mine.

Hi Steve, I have gone for the 13 inch leather steering wheel although I do like the look of the wooden steering wheels. I prefer the comfort of the leather wheel and prefer not to wear gloves.
If you prefer a fatter wooden rim, Williams have them for sale.
I also agree with Roger the Librands small mirror is the way to go.

Hi, I had a dished 13 in Moto Lita wooden rim fat type.. took it off as it felt too small , rather like a go cart. Now fitted a 15 in flat 4 spoke Moto Lita wooden rim... much better and feels rather more traditional.. which MG did you have? my last one was a TC, had an 18 in wheel! probably why the 13 inch felt too small!

One of the best modifications I did was incuding a spacer ring behind the Mota Lita steering wheel I have. It brings steering wheel just a little closer. It gives me a much more comfy way to enjoy the Mog. This is of course dependend on the individual. Mota Lita has rings in different sizes. Kind regards, Bert

Hello Steve, Another very welcome Norfolk based TMer. You have had all the info you need from others however, may I sugest a visit to "Krazy Horse" who are now our local dealers ( with the demise of Long Stratton) I have recently bought my 3rd Moggie which was supplied by them and they are a great bunch with the advantage of a good café on site. If I can be of any help, please PM me. I note that you also share sailing as a hobby.

Hi Steve
I had the offset 14 inch Moto Lita black leather rimmed wheel on my Morgan when I bought it and I've just recently changed it for the older style 15 inch four spoke Moto Lita wooden rimmed wheel which I love to bits
The four spoke design in my opinion is more in keeping with the design age of the car
The three spoke looks a bit 60's and 70's for my tastes
I'm quite slim so can't comment on clearance issue and in hindsight I would have gone for the 16 inch as I love the retro feel of a big wheel
Also a fan of the Librands rear view mirror - much nicer than the plastic Ford parts bin standard issue
