Hello all,
anyone experienced this? Revs will not come down when releasing the pedal. Extremely irritating and dangerous. Changed gas wire but status quo. Could it be something with carburetor?

Check the cable at the top of butterfly,it might be pulled up abit. But if it only changes when its hot, my guess it might be something with the ecu

Mine did this when the throttle cable was slightly dislodged, but it was all the time not just when hot, so yours sounds different...

OK, not really in understanding position yet. I had this problem before mounting the fan package with new gas wire and i still have it. The car starts very nicely always but something steals air to the engine when it gets warm.
ECU could be a lead here. Must let my technician connect the computer.

Like I said in PM, I managed to raise my idle by moving the pedals, so the wire is a bit twitchy. However, I read you as if the pedal actually rises when released, so it canīt be the wire then, can it?
Strange...
Let me know if you need help with reading faults.

I had the same problem, slow return to idle when hot. If you look at the plate where the throttle cable is mounted you will see a small hole on the bottom. Now look directly below to the engine and you will see a 1/4x20 Allen head screw. Get a "soft" throttle return spring, cut to length and remove the Allen head screw and drill a 1/16" hole in it and install the spring. Really easy as pie solution to the slow throttle return.

Mine does the same when hot. My understanding was that this was a deliberate ECU controlled feature to reduce emissions that tend to occur on throttle release. Hence it happens more when hot. But if there is a solution, hbatts, then maybe I'm wrong.

Tricer, you may well be right about the ECU, I didn't even think about that. I thought it was a slight cable resistance. I've been using the return spring for two months and have yet to see a problem.
