You can either fit the dome where the spare wheel would be, or remove the dome and fit the spare wheel. You can't fit both - the dome is much too shallow to cover the spare

Use the dome for local drives most of the time and fit the spare wheel for touring or to enable the luggage rack to be fitted (when it is developed of course).

A boot that looks like a spare would be very useful until you get a puncture. Practical aesthetics at work.
