A group of Mog, mainly Aero enthusiasts, were keen to do a weekend run to Paris, enjoy some good food (and wine), drive through a few tunnels (?) and retrace our steps back to Blighty down some superb driving roads.

Unfortunately the delays to get on the Chunnel made such a trip unattractive, so the organisers decided on a trip to North Wales, a circuit (or two) of the EVO Triangle, a nice meal and then some sight-seeing on Sunday before dispersing to our respective abodes!

Our trip was pretty action packed so I did not take many photos but three of us started in Berkshire - meeting at a service station on the M4, we then joined up with the Worcs contingent, and finally met up with TaffMog in North Wales. He and his lovely wife kindly acted as our tour guides, as obviously they know the local terrain. We stopped at the Swallow Falls:

We drove the EVO triangle and did not see any Police, but did see 18-Mini Mokes coming the opposite direction. Can't say I've ever seen that many in one place before! smile It was an interesting driving experience, but many of the roads in North Wales are also well worth driving as the locals well know!

We arrived at our overnight stay on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, near Caernarfon, after a brilliant day with some great driving and a nice meal with convivial company and much banter. wine

After a hearty Welsh breakfast, we drove into Caenarfon but did a slight detour:

Stunning scenery and brilliant top-down weather. Then on to Caenarfon Castle which is very impressive and we were given special parking rights, five Aero-based cars and one Roadster that kept up! Our seventh member unfortunately was hors de combat and could not bring his Plus 8 so there were only two of us Plus 8-ers. frown

From Caenarfon, we went over the Conwy Suspension Bridge to Conwy and its Castle. Excellent fish and chips for a late lunch and then two Berkshire cars decided to make their way home as it was a circa 250 mile journey. The other Berks car headed north to Liverpool, whilst the last three cars made the trip to drive the Great Orme, before going home.

Hopefully some of the participants will post some photos of this as we understand it was a great experience. 'Scuse the paucity of my photos but it was billed as a driving weekend, with benefit, and that's what we did. woohoo

Now we are ready for our trip next week to Munich for a BMW factory tour, and then on to Vienna. Watch out you Austrian Mogger's we're coming to Vienna and then Trumau...

Looked a great weekend Brian. Nice seeing you both on Friday even though it wasn't in the best circumstances.

It looks as if you were enjoying the radio on your trip innocent hide

I was the one who was sick...and unable to make it.
To say I was dissapointed is a major understatement.

Flying off to the USA to a conference this comming weekend when Brian is off to Austria is equally frustrating.

I really have to stop working.

Looks like you had a blast Brian around my Mogging country! I was out and up the Great Orme Friday evening - it was just like the Italian Riviera - unusually good!
