I'm looking for a hard wood gear stick knob. MX5 suppliers seem to have a plethora of other types , and even a few wood effect ones, but I no hard wood ones that I can find.

Does anyone know of a source?

if you have a factory one that you can disassemble, could you not find a craftsman locally who could turn you a wooden section out of whatever wood you needed to match your car?

The "Factory" fitted one is "secured" with a binding of insulation tape around the top of the gear stick! The gear stick is of a smaller diameter than my ex-4/4 '83 and one of Melvyn Rutter's current offerings was too large. Plenty of local woodworkers if I can find a metal socket to screw onto the gear stick.

The stock replacement MX5 one I have fitted came with a plastic tube to compensate for slight variations in gearstick diameter , fitted perfect.

What a great looking clock, can I ask you where you source that from?
