Yep, that sounds right. confused2 Most of the newer breed seem to be fitters rather than real mechanics.

I'm going to have to get used to the idea of having a Morgan and not fiddling with points.

Question from the under 45 crowd... how do you set static timing without points? I've always used a test light across the points. No points, so where to probe?

Upgrades to make it more reliable and roadable are never issues. Do it and enjoy the car.
