Howard - a friend of mine went to NZ a few years ago to bungee jump from the bridge where it all began. In front of him was a young woman, all kitted up and stood on the parapet. In the end she just daren't jump, and stepped away.
My friend with balls of steel stepped up to the parapet.
He jumped.
My advice to you is - JUMP.
Even if you regret it, which I very much doubt, you can sell it on, maybe even to somebody on here.
If you buy anything else, you won't get to mix with a bunch of friendly nutters like you get to meet on TM, and that's a huge bonus.

I'd better check IAM Surety next time various policies come up for renenwal. Multi-car? Don't cover track days? But IAM holds a limited number of them through the year, for both two and four wheels, though perhaps not in the same vein as other organisations

So now to the repayment - how do you find the plus 8 in real life? I'm in danger of making a decision. Plus 8 or 430? Suspend disbelief you cynics!
I'm sorry if I appear a tad cynical Howard, but if your choice is either a Plus8 or a 430.....you really don't know what you want. Those two cars are just so much at different ends of the spectrum.

Hh Interesting comments. If I could offer a tip - in return for some comments on the Plus 8 from owners thereof.
I did the IAM on my bike as a way of keeping me out of a ditch. Didnt work quite that way as it happened but it has been great at insurance savings. The deal with IAM Surety insurance, is that they will match the lowest quote you can get from a comparison site however daft that is. And they do it with a decent company with good cover. So my bike costs me < £100 fully comp with just 3 years NCB and the same sort of deal is available on all the family cars. I have to admit I dont use it on the Lotus because they dont do track day cover but I do do so on the family snotter. So do the IAM - good fun in fact ( speeds up your riding / driving) and saves you money too. Win win.

I can't think of a single similarity between a 430 and a Plus 8 - I've driven both, a lot. Not sure how they end up on a shopping list together.

Bear with me. Doing blood bikes today so only got a phone to type on. There are several things in common between a 430 and plus 8, low depreciation, similar power to weight, both a bit special unlike porker, both with friendly fellow owners, botha bit rare and different, similar cost. Both "grab" me.

With the Ferrari you will own it and enjoy the prestige of being a 430 owner. With the Morgan you will wish to adopt it given the connection you will make and keep with it. Your only reason to sell it will be to buy a different model from the range.
With the Morgan everyone is friendly.
With the Ferrari other Ferrari owners will be friendly.
With the 430 people will say "thats getting on a bit now"
With the Morgan people will say "what a beautiful car how old is it"
They have several common elements as Howard highlights. I would add great fun to drive, pretty, rare, can be expensive to maintain, leaks, difficult to get in and out of with practice, blah blah blah.
Both will provide a short term buzz but the Morgan will dig in deep.
Gott & Wanne was my original choice and proved excellent with real customer service however I am now with Admiral on a multi-car to cover all of them. It was surprisingly cheap and they did not raise anything on the Morgan.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
