Just for reference: Description: Gasket, Kit, Rocker Cover, X-Wedge S&S Part No. 106-0622 This is the current type of coated aluminium gasket and you get two gaskets in the kit. Install the gaskets dry (i.e. no sealant), blue loctite on the fasteners, tighten in a star pattern, 15-18ft/lb. I cannot speak highly enough of Matt Neal at Matts Machine Shop who supplied these to me. They were in my hand less than 24 hours after ordering! Very reasonable price & low shipping cost too. Give him a call if you need any X-Wedge parts or information. Tel: 01443 742791 Email: mattsmachineshop@btopenworld.com. 18A William St, Abercynon, Mid Glamorgan, CF45 4RW

I'd second the recommendation, too..
The fact that he has some in stock makes the difference. My local V-Twin specialist has to order them in from a European stockist and that takes about a week from ordering to collection, which is ok unless you NEED them..

My local S&S dealer never returned my calls or emails so I voted with my wallet!

Matt is brilliant , I spent two days with him fitting roller rockers to mine and tuneing it on a rolling road. He is an genuine S&S expert , has been to training sessions at S&S in the states and has run training courses at his workshop in Abercynon. Highly reccomended.

Another vote for Matts Machine Shop, always very helpful, quick and reasonably priced.

Does anyone know how the new "cooling" system for the timing belt looks like ? I am about to install some washers in order to have a small gap between the cover and the engine block and let it breath. Is this a wise idea ? Alternatively I would mill the side of the cover and open a couple of small Windows, but it is more complicated on a part with such shape. Any advise will be welcome

At one point Morgan was supplying extended bolts and washers to space the cover out from the crankcase , but now the latest covers have cast bosses to space them out by default , with two 2mm wide slits on the front under the horizontal fins , same length as the fins ( I have posted a pic of this before - cant find the thread off hand ) plus a small cut out in the base of the cover - all to aid cooling air circulation. Looks neat.
