When I took my 69 apart unfortunately I didn't note which way the cowl box fitted other than the curved section is at the front. The cowl box has a shallow and a deep section, could someone let me know which side is on the top, shallow or deep?

Deep at the bottom (i.e. the underside), John. At least, that's the arrangement on my 1986 car.
