As Kerry says we are now honorary Austrians and we made an involuntary contribution to the State as we were caught speeding, that is me (€35.00), Paul (€50.00) and the Copper could not get his hair-drier sorted in time to catch Steve - who he reckoned was the fastest and was a lucky man to have got off Scot-free. Apart from this we had a trouble free run Lucky guys! They offered you a special rate. Even parking tickets are sometimes above €35!

Nice run of about 120km to take jnr. to the dentist. The dentist is at Sondrio, which is on the road to Stelvio Pass. Beautiful day with just enough clouds in the sky to make it interesting. There is already snow on all the high mountain peaks. Stunning

He did ask me what it would have cost in the UK?

I can only think of 2 reasons why you got done for such a poultry amount. 1/ you were all driving in reverse at the time 2/ Steve was in front I think this is a record low for a road trip

Last day of our journey and we did 395 miles top-down to Calais. We had a very heavy downpour just 5 miles from Calais and as we were in very slow traffic due to road works, got a trifle damp. By the time we reached the terminal it had abated, but hoods went up as we went for something to eat. Our train was delayed for one hour, due to the problems with the terminal being overrun the previous night, but we really got off light as 24-hour delays were forecast. Another 106 miles home when we arrived in the UK, 501 miles today and a total of 2,242 miles in 4.5 days or an average of 500 miles per day. However it was not all driving, we had lunch in the BMW Directors Dining Room on Friday followed by a factory tour and a museum visit. Very interesting visit and we were really well treated by the senior BMW Executives in charge of the Morgan account. The main event though was to go to the Morgan Austria End of Season Party and we made it in good time. What a great event with food and drink freely available loads of Mog's of all ages and models, and a great bunch of enthusiasts for the marque. We really had a good time. Thanks again Jorge, Marlese and Rudi. You really welcomed us well as did our Austrian TM friends. Thanks one and all, now planning some more tours for next season, but maybe not as frenetic

What ????? Are you an MP or something Roger ? A bit of lateral thinking! Have to say whoever came up with that scam on new car taxation must wear a pointy hat, eye patch and ride a horse. Robbing bar stools!
