So chaps and chapesses what did we think about Building Cars Live tonight on BBC 2 and in particular the Morgan bit
I thought it was pretty good and I hope it generates interest in Morgan
I especially liked watching James May b**gering up cars recorded and live - in the Morgan wood shop and live where he ruined a Mini tailgate
Classic TV
Just wished someone had polished and cleaned the recesses in the Aero 8 grille!
Overall I thought it thoroughly entertaining and fascinating

Thought the morgan visit was well made, the plus 8 sounded wonderful and I thought the link to the Mclarren was interesting.
Also you see how much time and money is spent in an attempt to get the manufacturing processes right first time.

I rather liked it.. Could have spent longer in the Morgan factory of course. Agree the +8 sounded fab.

Yes good point from Morgan to McLaren with the comment " Like a Morgan McLaren cars are meticulously engineered by hand... and ash has been replaced by carbon fibre" That really elevates Morgan to supercar status Morgan will be jumping for joy at that link

I had hoped that they could find more time for Morgan in a ninety minute programme but, that said, what there was provided very good representation of what Morgan is about.
P.S. Roger; leave Kate alone - she can do no wrong!

May was driving the factory +8 demonstrator - which I had a blast in :-)
Typical telly though to pitch the factory as edwardian woodcraft, & design as high tech... when there's an aluminium bonded chassis in shot. As usual, fitting the facts to fit the narrative.

It started well saying they were going to follow a car through the production process - then they just jumped back and forth. If you didn't have an understanding of car production I think it would be pretty hard to follow what was going on.
The Morgan, McLaren, Nissen bits were good but not live.
Great attitude from the workers (sorry "Associates") who were interviewed - they all seemed to have a pride in thier role in the process
So all in all a mixed bag for me and a bit of a lost opportunity from the Beeb.
Maybe tomorrow will be better.....
