When I moved from +8 to Roadster one off my key criteria set was better seats that I could adjust the recline. This was an optional extra on the earlier cars. If you are going to drive more miles or tour I would recommend you take this into consideration. Just being able to change the incline seat every now and then can make a big difference.

You might be better searching the ST220 and Jaguar X Type and S Type forums (if there is such a thing). I'm not aware of any engine issues over large mileages, but the dual mass flywheel is a known weak spot on cars which have it.

I have the non reclining buckets seats & SWMBO & I find them just fine bit a pain to load the back shelf.

My 2002 auto s type jag has the 3.0 v6 and has now covered 96k and no issues at all with the engine. Ved in the jag equates to 290 per year. Its ample power in the heavy jag so would imagine ina morgan it'd fly! I would imagine it commands respect in a light weight sports car, a bit of a handful ?
Mpg in the jag is ok too @ 26-32 depending use, again the Morgan likely to be better.
