Whilst enquiring about M3W reliability has elicited a valuable data set on failures, does anyone have experience of a trouble free vehicle that has achieved 15000 miles without warrantee work being needed.
My nearest 'dealer' is in Malvern, but I don't necessarily want to pay for the privilege of development team membership.

It is possible that 2015 cars are now fully sorted.

Older cars have had to have mods fitted.

But current M3W owners will be of more help.

Also Welcome, Lola cheers

Interesting to hear that Steve Coogan also owns an M3W as well as a Lambo among his car collection shades

Welcome from me as well.

It does look as if by mid 2014 pretty much all of the more major problems had been sorted and the good news is that for earlier models there are well known and documented "upgrades" eg compensator, "comfort" steering etc.

Many of us use our M3Ws regularly and for extended trips without problems so if you are considering one then just go for it drive .

Not if morgan are still sending out car with the old cam cover and no cam bolt mod ,when it try to exit the cam cover Morgan will fit new cover and cam bolt but you have to buy belt at 100 notes ,all new late 2015 should be done ,but there not ,I think Morgan just like to get people back to spend more money or do what other have done and get rid, like rats leaving a sinking ship ,dont get me wrong its a great car but ownership is a bit frustrating some times

Welcome Lola.

You sound like me a year ago when I was considering buying a car but then found all the tales of woe on here from owners of pre 2014 cars. I have every sympathy with peoples problems with the early cars but reading reports of unreliable cars certainly puts into doubt the decision to buy or not.

The post title is a bit unfair to the current M3W and anyone considering buying one might be alarmed.

I think the title of this post should be renamed?

Perhaps it should read:-

'Trouble Free Cars. Do any makes exist?'

Some makes are better than others but even the likes of Toyotas or VWs have problems.

The M3W is a specialist/unconventional car and one cannot expect to do the same mileage as your average Vauxhall Van without things going wrong/needing replacing/adjusting.

It also depends on how one drives it!

The 2014 models onwards should be reliable if driven sensibly. I have my doubts if constantly driven hard.

I am in contact with several people with 2015 models and touchwood none have had any problems other than the usual new car teething/bedding in things that one gets with any make.

Some TM members live many hours away from the nearest dealer to get their cars serviced but have still bought into one of the most exciting and fun vehicles on the market.

Buying a current model with all the revision's and living near to Malvern should make the decision of buying a M3W a no brainer.

Must add that i found the Morgan warranty service to be very good when i did want something attended to on my 2015 M3W.

If you want a highly developed car thats likely to be faultless then a new Toyota would be ideal. It'll be boring too.

The 2014 on M3W will delight and frustrate in pretty equal measure but you'll not regret it.

I always read with interest the tales of woe with some M3W's but we never hear of how many of the 1500 or so made have been totally reliable?
Time for a poll maybe?
