Took the S3 out for a drive to Bampton, lovely road from Taunton.

A quiet day getting my breath back from an epic sailing weekend. Labour Day holiday here so took my wife out to the wild west coast to a gannet colony so she could enjoy her favourite pastime, bird watching. Our first picnic.

Beautiful day and lots of parasailers too. We stopped for an ice-cream at a cafe and parked a few cars along from a new Ferrari. The M3W outnumbered it about 10 to 1 in looks, drools and photos.

Fantastic photos, Philip ! I really hate to follow you here with photos like that ... shades

And now for something completely different ... after a romp through the woods we stopped for a malted beverage. In the parking lot I was struck by the view of so many different forms of transport there. A Harley (barely visible) next to a LR w/bikes, cars and horses in the background with my Mosquito in the foreground. Naturally all riders and drivers gathered round the M3W upon arrival.

thumbs cheers

Philip, you drive easily in those flip-flops ?

Ha, no. They were just for walking on the beach. I drove bare footed as I didn't want to take my good boots and my narrow sneakers were still wet from my sailing

Thank You Draggin and Welcome ! Bought them from a store nearby, after previously buying Wool/Leather Varsity Jackets there. Kindly old gent, been in business for ages. Might be easier to find locally on your side of the pond but here's his site:

When I collected my repaired car from Perth last Saturday it was raining going for the bus but the sun was shining in Perth. I wanted to return on A93 via Blairgowrie & Braemar. The forecast said it would be raining in Braemar & 7C.
I took a chance & mostly it was dry & Braemar was 11C. It did start raining at Spittal of Glenshee but I got a great rainbow approaching Glenshee as you can see in my video. The first few miles from Spittal are a great switchback road & I'll be disappointed if they ever straighten it.

My second video is passing Crathie Kirk where the Queen goes to church when at Balmoral.

Such a warm welcome to November here in the middle of the UK. It seemed a shame not to take more time, so I did. Lovely!
