Hi folks,
Anyone recommend a good leaf blow/vac for a large garden. Not quite a trolley or-ride on size. Even a good strong heavy duty electric might do.

When it comes to garden kit, I never buy anything other than Stihl. They do a couple of petrol leaf blowers and an electric one. If you have the Stihl Kombi system kit, they also do one for that - saves having another engine about the place.

A good leaf bay is also useful to have to deposit all those leaves.

Echo is cheaper/easier to service than Stihl and is of comparable quality. Both are quality itmes that should last your life.

You have seen our garden and the amount od trees around. I have a Husqvarna leafblower which is carried on your back. It produces a Gale and will blow wet leaves off wet grass.
In my opinion only commercial kit is suitable for a place like ours -- garden stuff just doesn't cut the mustard

I invested in a Stihl petrol powered backpack blower, best gardening tool I've bought. Clears the drive in minutes, gets wet leaves off wet grass. Great for blow drying the cars too! Highly recommended.

Never mind about blowing leaves in the garden. A leaf blower is the ONLY sensible way to dry a car after washing. Chamois leathers and other materials can scratch paint and do not dry out crevices and brake calipers etc. 1) plastic sheet over engine to stop water getting through the louvres and soaking electrics 2) hose off dirt. 3) wax-free shampoo 4) rinse off with sprinkler on hose 5) dry everything with leaf blower 6) take for a good long drive to get everything really dry (after remembering to remove the plastic sheet in the engine).
