On new Morgans as well as the Cuprinol dip for the woodwork is there any further treatment applied to the wood such as a waxoyl (or similar) type treatment?

Some wood bits are covered in a thin layer of aluminium for extra protection

As far as I can see, all the visible woodwork in my car is covered with the black "underseal" that the whole underside has been treated with.

Reg Same on mine Particularly noticeable when I took the spare wheel off the back of my 4 seater and the wood crossmember and frame work exposed had been coated in the black underseal stuff

At the moment the Black Dinitrol 4941 is sprayed liberally over the underside, and inside the spare wheel hole. The transmission tunnel is masked off. It's very effective at keeping the water out, but I prefer the earlier golden wax underseal (ML3125?)which the factory used around 2005. https://dinitrol.co.uk/ClassicCar.aspx

Thanks for the answers Gents. I'll look at Dinitrol (golden wax) when I need to treat the new woodwork.
