With you 100% Stewart. The easiest way to solve the 'problem' of dials misting up is to realise it isn't actually a problem at all.

Unfortunately my speedo and rev counter mist up - so you can't actually see the speed you're doing. There are so many cash cameras that it does cause a bit of an issue.

It's also a little irritating on an expensive car to be honest.

Blackadder. That would be because the heat goes to the back of the instruments heating the humid air inside. The glass, which is in contact with the outside air is getting very little of the warm air flow and remains cold by comparison to the air inside the instruments. The moisture in the air then condenses on the inside of the glass. Once the glass warms to the temperature of the air inside the instrument the misting will start to evaporate again.

On my last new ordered Mog I accidentally chose the bespoked option of misty instruments. When I wanted to change the option it was too late, the car was already in production. My current 4/4 is an ex demo. Obviously the dealer chose the same option. I always smile when she "sweats". It's a genuine USP.

Let's face it on the richter scale of irritations, this is a minor tremor.

Very Zen, but for me it is annoying & I am not an OCD concourse fiend. I also worry it will damage the instruments

I have been thinking of running two ducts for heater/aircon to a pair of narrow slot outlets under the dash. Some small tubes extended to the instruments could be used to feed hot air, in the case of aircon (which works as a dehumidifier) hot dry air, to the instruments idea

The Vanquish had this arrangement for the headlights.

The Porsche Cayman suffers from condensation in the headlamps.

The hand book says this is "normal".

Refreshing that Porsche resorts to a version of "don't worry Sir, they all do that!"
