Bearing in mind that, unlike the engine, there is no combustion taking place in the bevel box, all this heat must be produced by friction.
If the friction produces this amount of heat, how much power is that friction absorbing?

Presumably its quite a small area to disperse the heat. To calculate the power absorbed you need the time it takes to get the oil say +40deg and assume not much heat loss through the casing while its heating up, and the volume of oil heated. Then some maths

My car is still under warranty. Therefore, I think it will be not allowed to take Red Line products for the bevel box.....

Quite a lot, as all bevel boxes, but I have been thinking about bringing some air and I see some of us did it already.

In the US we have the Magnuson-Moss Act of 1975. Basically what it says is that if the manufacturer issues a written warranty for their product and you use aftermarket parts, they cannot void the warranty if the part did not cause the failure.

In this case with oil, as long as whatever oil is used meets the manufacturer's specifications, they cannot void your warranty, period...

Redline product do meet or exceed all recommended manufacturer specifications. So using the Redline Shockproof in your BB cannot void your warranty.

Manufacturers cannot specify a specific brand of oil as long as what you use meets their specs.

If this was NOT the case practically every new Harley would be out of warranty BEFORE it ever left the showroom floor.

It seems like a lot of the M3W guys have flushed out their BB and filled with Redline Shockproof oil and have had great results with it. I would not hesitate to use it because of voiding your warranty.

I'm sure that Europe and the UK have similar laws to the Magnuson-Moss Act.
