Em,
it would be interesting to get a comment from Laurie on the amount of time needed to do a basic service on a Plus 8 vs a Roadster.

Em, By basic I meant a full annual service but without replacing any parts, other than oil filter, oil, etc.
Williams changed a lambda sensor to stop the MIL Light comming on, but that was warranty work. They also investigated the indicator beeper, which works only sometimes, and the seat belt warning light, likewise. They are talking to the factory about the best way to solve these issues, it may be a module behind the dash needs replacing. But again this is warranty work.
The Morgan Aero Service sheet (2008 Vintage!!) that came back showing the work to be done and the work actually done shows that servicing an Aero isn't quick or simple amd covers a lot of checking and tightning! The only coment on the sheet was that some of the rose joints on the front suspension needed tightning slightly. The suspension when cold is certainly less "clicky" now. Otherwise, at 23,000 miles, a clean bil of heath.
The front disks and pads had been changed by Morgan and Me about 2000 miles earlier, as had been described here.
Next year will be a lot more expensive as I expect to fit 4 tyres as they will be down to about 4mm which on a car like the Plus 8 is, I feel, a sensible limit. The service next year will include a new air filter (but not wings off as the Plus 8 air filter differs from the Aero and is removed from underneath) and a brake fluid change. As the car was first driven in Jan 2014, November 2016 is long enough for both. Rear pads? I checked them earlier this year and it doesn't look as if they get much wear and I suspect the hand brake pads will last for ever! What else? I suppose the LSD will need new fluid in a year or so, though I might see if a Quaif unit is available.

Lots of rose joints and suspension bits to check Peter, its quite frightening when you see the car with the wings off.Christopher Lawrence must have had very small hands.
