Must say I've never thought about it before but a Mercedes CLK or a Porsche Boxter with a bonnet strap would look so silly but a Morgan does look good, even though I haven't/wouldn't have one myself!

My 4 wheeler black bonnet strap was bought at the factory shop last year and has a felt backing - I just give the felt a brush to get dirt and dust off every once in while when I clean the car

Hi.
What is the fitment method for the MTW3 leather bonnet strap?
Are they supplied in alternative colours?

They're attached directly to the bonnet, at the base. Colours: Black and saddle. If you go aftermarket, other options.

Probably a stupid question but do you have to drill the bonnetto fit?

The way the factory fit them , then yes holes will be required.
But if you are not too worried about its position I am wondering if you could use the zsus fasteners somehow to secure it.

I suppose you could, but recall with all that vibration, you probably want it fastened very securely.

Even with felt backing the belt still rubs the paintwork with the vibration.

It's purely decorative from Morgan but I've seen custom straps made and fitted which fasten to the lower body and actually function as a restraining strap.

I've considered fitting the strap ends to some discreet smooth chrome hinges then to the other hinge end to the M3W lower body but I haven't found the appropriate fixings to date.

One day I'll achieve it.

I have a polished aluminum body and if you look under the bonnet strap there are thousands of small scratches.
