I am rebuilding a 54 from the frame up. Almost all the parts came in boxes. I have been able to identify most of the parts, but these. The original engine was replaced with a TR3. Any ideas would really help.
Definitely the cross frame braces/crosshead stays.
They should not be tightened up fully until the suspension and engine/drive train is on the car and most of the bodywork in position. Then do up the tensioning nut until the unit "pings" with a metallic ring when hit by a spanner, a dull thud means it is not tight enough.
