Manufacturers are not allowed to participate in the Classic Car show. That is the NEC rule. It's clubs only but with the very small producers there's a grey area.
There were two or three small producers there, I looked at one based on the MX5.
From Morgan's point of view I would go for product placement without the full sales bit. Let the club do the descriptive bit in a low key way. No harm in trying.
Maybe they could use MSCC as a"trojan horse" if they were smart about it to get new models on display.
Evanta had their new cars on display.
Last year Porsche had a huge stand to advertise their dealer network classic workshops.
Or MMC could support a dealer to get new cars on display - there were a nnumber of up market dealers flogging cars.
Come on MMC marketing - step up!

Went with my son on Saturday and did a bit of volunteering on the mog stand many interesting people to chat with and wasn't asked once about it having a wooden chassis or whether it was a kit car! Message maybe getting through to gen public. Quite a few discussions with recently retired guys with pension pots burning a hole in their pockets. But obviously did not discuss sales big fine if you did! Nice to chat with you Phil and will see you at Donnington next year!

Unfortunately, didn't get to go as instead had family duties to attend in London for son's World Championship Taekwando Competion at Crysatl Palace so couldn't face going up and down the M6 twice within 3 days. However, was compensated last night as driving up the M42/M6 I kept passing a lot of lovely cars that looked as though they may have been exhibiting at the NEC - and didn't have to pay to enter or the £12 parking charge!
You know it makes sense!
