Totally agree - this was a classic example of roundy-roundy racing that isn't worth bothering to watch even on television. Time for Bernie to move over and bring in someone who will put some life into the sport.

Hamilton acted extremely rudely during the podium post-race interview, I thought. Martin Brundell was the interviewer & quite correctly spoke to Rosberg first, and quite down to earth questions not the airy-fairy ones.
Once he'd finished, he moved to speak with Hamilton who chose that exact moment to make eye contact & as Brundell spoke, he turned away and addressed the crown with a Spanish phrase or two, stepping away from Brundell slightly.
Once he'd made his point for the camera, he turned his attention to a clearly annoyed Brundell, before being very petulant about his 'spoilt' race.
Bad show, I thought.

Watched the first lap....then read the Sunday Times and came back to the race for the last couple of laps. At least Nico won.....I can't stand Hamilton....he's always moaning about something or other when the race doesn't go his way. And he showed bad manners on the podium spraying chambers all over the place whilst Nico and Vettel held back to show respect for the Paris events.
On Saturday the BBC showed a programme with Suzy Perry and Murray Walker, just before practice, showing some races from I think the late 80s and early 90s. They were superb....close racing, no DRS....it's all so boring now.

Another vote for the most tedious GP of the year.
Well I think it was, but to be honest I went to sleep through the middle bit. But nothing had changed, so I guess I didn't miss anything, based on previous posts.

How to save money in F1 - no free practice, straight to qualifying then hand out the trophies based on quali position; How to make I more interesting: 1) install sprinklers over the circuit and, if no rain falls by lap X, turn them on in random locations for random periods of time; 2) starting positions to be the reverse of finishing position at previous GP ie first starts last, 2nd 19th etc; 3) Maldonado to always be on second row of grid to ensure a crash or two; 4) NO ONE ON GRID except cars. Did you see the swarm of people running from grid at "1 minute warning" - unbelievable 5) Bye bye Bernie. Please. Won't ever go to British GP these days. Much better value from Touring Cars and AR Morgan Challenge series. Cheers

This says everything about the craziness of F1 today....quoted from Road and Track "Felipe Massa, who finished eighth in his home Brazilian Grand Prix for Williams, will cede his position after being excluded from the race. His right-rear tire was measured at 137 degrees (Celsius) and 20.6 PSI, 27 and 0.1 higher than mandated by Pirelli respectively, leading to the penalty.........no action was taken in a similar event earlier this year, when Mercedes AMG F1 was found to be starting the Italian Grand Prix with significantly deflated tyres"

There was some good overtaking in the mid-field - Verstappen continues to look exceptionally good at it - although I suspect he ends up taking too much out of the tires which leaves him vulnerable late on.
Mercedes refusal to let their drivers mix up strategies robs us of a proper battle but their duty is to claim a 1-2.
