Thanks for posting the pictures, very helpful. It looks like you could use the later pedals which bolt through the floor rather than through the front face of the chassis if one wanted to. Apart from the pedals are very different, the offsets relative to the pushrods/actuation are in different places, and your chassis will not have the U shape reinforcement under the toeboard to support the vertical mounting

When I had my new chassis made I specified the U section under the toe board as well as a few other strengthening modifications. I didn't think that the distance between the pedals differed especially as Melvyn Rutter has since suggested I fit a later V8 pedal set. More investigation needed.
