Yep, snowing quite hard in 'Ertfordshire when I set out for Gaydon this morning. Bright sunshine at the Heritage Centre, but a freezing cold wind. cold

I'm pleased and relieved that it has finally started snowing in the alps last night, (indeed there are avalanche warnings out for this weekend) I've never seen it come so late; until yesterday there wasn't a speck of the stuff. I was starting to worry that I'd jinxed it by ordering a new car with 4 wheel drive.....

In anticipation of the arrival of cold weather, I took the Mini to Speedy to get them to swap over the wheels & tyres for the winter ones a couple of days ago. One of the blinking anti theft wheel nuts broke & they couldn't get that wheel off. Fair play to them, they lent me a Fiat 500 free of charge until they could get it sorted (doubly generous as they had already said that they'd swap the wheels over for free because I'm a good customer).

Following a really bad winter 5 years ago we purchased a snow shovel from Costco the following years. It was the best thing we did as it's never been needed since and sits in the garage in tact. Hoping it will the snow away this tear too.

Not a good measure Roger. We did that a few years ago, and it sat there for several winters, but in the last two or three it's earned its keep, and this year I may need to add an aluminium leading edge, because it's getting tatty.
