An historic week......the last of the galvanised chassis have left the Chassis Shop! The first autophoretic black chassis are in build.

Great kudos is claimed in the Porsche-world I have just left for having 'one of the last of the air-cooled'. Will having one of the 'last of the galvanised chassis' have kudos in Morgan-world in the same way? I hope not!

Its a real shame if this is the case,it has been done on a cost basis only.Forget the red herring they will probably say the phoretic goes on more even but the galve should last twice as long.They will be offering trads without a roof next but tell you to carry an umbrella.

I think you will find that misalignment issues with the alloy bulkheads and valences highlighting the fact that the chassis were being distorted by heat during the galvanisation process as the main reason to drop the galvanised chassis.
