......And price more realistically to make it the excellent true sports car that lurks hidden inside it. They cannot. The parts are all very expensive - the engine, gearbox and chassis tub are all eye-wateringly costly the way Morgan buys them, then the car is hand built. A Morgan is what it is, it cannot be compared with any mass produced production line car. Howard will never quite get your last sentence Peter. You're quite right there. I can understand, maybe accept, Peters first sentence - the economics of making cars in as small a volume as the Plus 8 has to be horrendous. But I dont agree with the second sentence. Of course you can compare the Plus8 with other sports cars or other toys for that matter.. On the plus side there is rarity and a lot of other things I wont go into now - had they not sold the black demo car whilst I was away, I had done a deal and planned to buy it, believe it or not Jays! But it is frustrating that Morgan get so close and not quite IMO finish the job. Mr Potato knows what he's talking about and its silly for people to react personally to his comments. They are information to be born in mind

I think Mr Potato was doing a little bit of a Clarkson. It is easy to point out what you consider a fault when it is not something you are paying for. If you are just looking at "what should I spend my hard earned money on" then it does have some challanges compared to a Bentley/Porsche/AMG etc.
If you are looking for something that is yours the values are yours to choose and you can weight them how you like. If the Coupe was not so damn beautiful then some of the problems I have had with it would have meant it was in Autotrader and gone by now. It is just so damn pretty. It is such an event. The grin almost hurts after a run in it.
For £100k it damn well should be. But the little niggles and resolution do leave a rough flavour sometimes. I just remind myself that the people building it don't aim to make it frustrating and are working as hard as they can. Its not as if something that complex and handmade can be easy to complete. We just have standards set by BMW/Toyota/Dacia which hides a MASSIVE investment in the entire end to end design, automation and build. The scale difference remains staggering.

When his AeroMax was up for sale at Stratstone some time back I went to look at it. I was worried about the Purple.
When I saw it in the flesh I though it looked really wonderful. I realise that taste is very personal but if anyone is worried I can only recommend going to see it in the flesh as I thought it was a great colour. Very very smart especially with the BMW flecked black paint body colour.
I do hope he has ordered something else nice. I would love it if he managed to get it into his programs more often. I think his current persona is a good lead for Morgan. I liked his old persona as well - he was a laugh.
