Agree - when I fitted mine I made it so that it was about 2cm below the rear bodywork.

why not securely bolt a lightweight plastic trailer mudguard to the u/side of the rear Wheel enclosure.Simple&effective

When I fitted mine I used the existing Morgan Alloy Guards fitting bolts and holes - and the made a simple fitting for the rear screwed through the wooden subframe.
It worked a treat - for over two years and as far as I know is still working!

why not securely bolt a lightweight plastic trailer mudguard to the u/side of the rear Wheel enclosure.Simple&effective Good idea bobo, I am also thinking on fitting a mugard on the top enclosure...maybe someone on this forum has already tried it and can tell us  ... Its a job set for this winter.

Smaug,it works!mudguard needs trimming a bit.use big bolts&washers(X4)to join the 2 together securely & the 2 lift off as one, to expose a much cleaner rear Wheel area

There are several versions of fitting the rear plastic mudguard shown on TM. I think this is one of the best and well detailed Smaug. The only real difficulty with it may be using the lower shock absorber mounts for the support bracket, depending on which way the bolts are fitted it could mean removing the fuel tanks to get them out. There is not enough swing arm movement to get them below the tanks, at least with the NVH kit fitted. I think I will hold on bobo's idea (beside thanks for your reply, bobo) But first, let me get a mudguard and see how to do it

The rear mudguard that I installed ended up making more noise than I would have liked because of it being hard mounted to the body and when attempting to fix the issue I ended up cross threading a bolt, so i just removed it for the time being. When my 3 wheeler arrives back from the dealership I am going to install a modified version of the rear mudguard that doesn't require any additional mounting points. I will post new photos whenever I am done with the project.
