Thanks Jay, not sure I fully understand your advice but I will try to work it out.

I do get a little water ingress from the side window flaps but think this is not that unusual

I wouldn't worry about a bit of rain , its all part of the fun , my previous silly car was a 7 with no roof or screen ! A huge amount of fun still !

The slight slope on your header rail might be down to a distorted gasket....it's worth checking as you fit it down onto the top of the screen. The fasteners are adjustable as well.
You can get a bit of water coming in at the top of the screen supports. Many of us fit a bit of shaped neoprene there...a DaveW fix! Water can also come up past the side screen support brackets....usually road spray. That's fixable with a touch of neoprene as well....or a more expensive option, inner screen trims from the likes of Allon White or Williams.

1) The lower coolant hose can rub against a sharp edge of the engine castings. If that is the case loosen the clips just enough to move the hose and then re-tighten the clips. The sharp corner could be relieved with a little work with a file too.
2) Check that one of the hoses to the coolant header tank is not chaffing where it passes over the angle at the top of the foot well.

I've recently discovered Talk Morgan and the welcome I've had has been a bit of a nice surprise. As far as Morgan ownership is concerned, it removes a lot of the potential isolation and is an exceptional resource. Great for the UK winter too!

I appreciate all the advice I've had and am about to print specific replies to serve as a check list. I did have a good look under the lid last night (with the sound of wind and rain testing the garage door) and can see the potential for radiator related problems mentioned. Naive question, but will my radiator be metal or something other. I think it is from last night's late examination but need better light! (2010 +4 and no service record of replacement)

Hi Keith, your model is likely to be plastic. My 2011 +4 was plastic. As a precaution, I replaced my radiator 3 months ago with an aluminium one from Williams near Chipping Sodbury. The Williams rad is a very neat and well made piece of kit.

I did the same as Wirewheel last month too....as a precautionary matter on my 2009 Roadster. That was plastic and whilst not leaking, the lower hose stub was starting to distort and a leak would have been imminent.
The Williams ally radiator is a lovely piece of kit with well thought out mounts.

Spot on with the distorted gasket, should be a quick fix I hope. One of the fasteners has the plastic stay missing, probably due to force in trying to combat the gasket twist. Talk Morgan is very effective. Thanks.
