I was going to go for a Run....lovely day in warks today BUT the cleaner cried off ...AND as we have Guests tmoz ...I offered ...do not ask me why ....to do all the Vacuuming! ...just finished ...and now its too late... I can share your frustration got up early to take the Mog to work but woke with a banging headache but by the time I'd taken some tablets and my head was easing, realised it was probably too late to get the car out, check tyre pressures etc So ended up taking the tin top Didn't rain once today and although its getting very windy,I would have enjoyed getting a bit of top down action

Brilliant week here in Norfolk so plenty of runs out in the Moggie. Big downside though is that they always seem to end up with Fish & Chips on the coast somewhere and with Xmas rapidly approaching I could do with loosing a bit of weight. Perhaps an upgrade to the new Aero 8 would help ( are you listening Memsahib!!! ) Reg
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

After almost 5 weeks without sliding into that lovely bucket seat, gazing down the long, long bonnet and then pressing the starter button today I was able to rekindle my love affair with Tarka, the Plus 8!
Whilst the engine warmed I checked the tire pressures: all spot on 24psi.
Backed out of the garage and waited for SWMBO to lock up the house. We planned a quick blast down the old A30 to Stockbridge to visit the butcher, fishmonger and Deli. Only about 20 miles, but a glorious day for it. Tarka was on form, but it took me a couple or three miles to re-acclimatize to the steering, after too many tin top miles.
Leaving Salisbury with the car nice and warm, heated seats doing their thing and hot air blasting out of the heater I found myself behind a Golf R32 driven in what can only be described as a spirited manner. I think he was surprised in that he couldn't shake off this old car behind him: enormous, childish, fun.
Loaded up with goodies and the Christmas goose ordered the run back was a little less rapid, and it started to spit with rain. We stopped to fill up with BP's finest, three people came over to admire the car. What is it about the Plus 8?
Home again we put Tarka back in the garage, listening to the ticking as she cooled. I need to wipe down the windscreen and front end, but otherwise she sits, waiting for me. With no more long trips planned it will not be such a long time before we go an play again.

Well I took mine to Devon..... A stop off en route for coffee: Looking rather different amongst the 4x4's A loader and a gun discuss tactics: Great fun to drive down - got caught in dreadful weather, in the dark on tiny, potholed and muddy country lanes. Fogged up windscreen and utterly lost at one point. However, I persevered!

Experiencing a fogged up windscreen is a right of passage, which the fair weather brigade never experience.

Excellent adventure!
A Plus 8 with A/C has a powerful hood up demister: just run heater and A/C on full and turn on the heated front screen. Works perfectly!
Were there any water leaks?
