This is absolutely no critism of MOG magazine as I really like it but it does make me chuckle reading some of the articles and the way they link some of the subjects to Morgans to justify their inclusion
Again this is no critism as I like it
Just a bit of playful observation
In the latest one, the cover article about James Bond, links Bond to Morgans by the paragraph, and I quote . "We natrally started to ponder over why Bond has never driven a Morgan? "
No doubt in the sister magazine Reliant Mag, they too ask the question why Bond has never driven Reliants and proceed to write a two thousand word article on everything Bond (actually I've just remembered there was a Bond Bug)
Bentley Driver mag, Rolls Royce Today, Classic VW, Merc Now ( made up magazines but I am sure somthing similar exists) are all of course asking the same question just as a New Bond film comes out !
Next article on the fashion house Squint which commissioned a rather nice jazzy upholstered 3 Wheeler
Warning!
Tenuous Morgan link coming up and I quote...
"Patchwork itself actually dates back to the Egyptian times, but the traditional sort we recognise became popular in the early 20th Century, the 1920's - 1930's, IN THE SAME PERIOD THE MORGAN THREE-WHEELERS OF OLD ROLLED OFF THE PRODUCTION LINE."
Next month there's an article on the the Great Depression, Spanish Flu and Polio
Hats!
Well I like a nice hat so the article on Lock & Co's hatters was rather nice
Warning tenuous Morgan link, and I quote...
" The distinguished gentleman - and Morgan owner in particular - can easily pull off a well made fedora or Panama."
So there you are chaps, as Morgan owners we can all pull off a Fedora
It would certainly 'pull off' when driving a Morgan!
More tenuous links appreciated

Actually I am under doctor's orders to wear a hat when out in the sun. I like the flat cap but it does not give much protection to the ears and the side of the face. I started wearing Autralian leather hats, I have several, and found that they stayed in place, for me anyway, at speeds of up to 140 kph. In the height of summer I prefer a panama hat and when I tried it in the Morgan, in the first instance at speeds up to 70 kmh, I found it stayed in place ok. I have since found that I can also wear it at higher speeds depending a bit on conditions. If I get a couple of frights with it starting to lift I swap it for a leather hat or the flat cap. In any case around town or on restricted roads it is fine.
I have a lifetime supply of hats because I started importing them but in the end gave up because I was paying more in taxes than I was earning
If you are asking my advice Jays, I would say that you would look absolutely charming in that hat, and yes, I think it would stay on at any speed. The colour would look good with Nero too but I'm not totally convinced it would go well with the beard.
