Got my copy today and thought what a fantastic direction to go in, great to show off the new red painted chassis - if I only had the money it could inspire an SP2 !

I love it for what it is. It has been debated on here before that swapping to an aluminium tub is likely to cost a lot extra as the extra units produced would not bring the cost down substantially. At least that is as I remember it. However, future legislation may well take that out of their hands in which case it is what it is.

I bought one as I wanted a modern useable classic that was much more involving and it delivers in spades. The less that it does compared to a modern tiptop the more I want it!

Just think , if only we could all stretch to a Cayman GT4 , the latest incarnation of the Porsche Cayman ,£99k as there are so few about yet and folk or should I say volk having to wait for one , no rattles , totally predictable handling as Evo says , where's the fun I ask ??

thumbs thumbs

I love the simplicity of my 4/4 - like no exterior door handles.

I love the "different" drive in the Morgan, you can just creak along slowly in the open air (hood down side screens off), lean out and touch the road, see everything, drive the car without electronics butting in, but then if you need to get from A to B it will also deliver a legal+ motorway cruise, reasonably priced to service, reasonable road tax and hopefully it will last me a long time, it will be a shame if Morgan "modernise" it, just my thoughts

Someone hinted at it earlier; the trads should be left to evolve at, well, an evolutionary pace and let the Aeros have the tech (in a Morgan way i.e. just enough to get the job done). A smaller lighter Aero 4 with about 230bhp would be nice.

The only thing is that the company are now making so many 'new' models as well as the Trads that I'm not sure how they are coping with so many different specs ?
