What a diverse bunch they all are. Trump the hawk with aggressive ill informed dangerous views. Corbyn the Utopian Dreamer. Putin the Godfather. Kim of N Korea, the absolute dictator. Just about all of them we come across as MP/House of Lords/EU gravy train passengers.

Politicians are opportunists, and sway anyway they think will build support. That's "democracy!" I've spent time with a Labour Councillor both at work and as a school governor, and he said that he would have become a Conservative councillor if that meant certain election. He was shortlisted (last three) as a Labour candidate for a secure Labour constituency, and only failed because he lived outside the constituency in question. He is an accomplished wordsmith, but lacks substance.
Corbyn is different to most. His beliefs are strong and unshakeable, and that will create relentless difficulties. I quite like his naive take on everything. I don't believe that he will survive long as leader.

Mussolini's corpse, however, was stolen from the Musocco cemetery by a group of fascists and moved to various locations. All at the same time?

I think a lot of the problem with politicians (of all hues) is that we just let them get on with it and don't call them to account or even talk to them enough. This has led to the trend to discredit all politicians and ultimately replace them with non-politicians - simply on the basis that they are 1) not a politician and 2) successful in some other arena. This is a bit like being dissatisfied with your football team and consequently replacing them all with successful librarians, businessmen, singers etc.

Not just politicians but also senior civil servants. Google Mapeley or Concentrix to see the damage they can do and walk away.
