Obviously not in a confined space, but to dissolve and glue perspex, chloroform is the stuff... You might get a little from a chemist. Not any more....it is on the European Chemical Agencies "Level 2" risk chemicals.

Nail polish remover will dissolve lots of plastics. Nasty stuff but you can round off the edge off new cut Perspex side screens with it.
by the way I have two precut pieces of short door side screen in my garage if anyone wants them.
