I had that problem with my first Morgan until I tried the specialist classic insurers. I did actually approach an alarm company who burst out laughing when I told them it was a Morgan!

Similar experience: the local alarm specialist refused point blank to fit an alarm to a Morgan: he said that it was not possible to fit any alarm that would be Thatcham Certified. So I talked to Gott & Wynne and they need neither alarm nor tracker.

The car is insured with a Defaqto five star insurer, replacement with new in first year, including foregn use and 3 drivers, with fully comprehensive cover and protected bonus for only £163. Therefore if they asked for an alarm I was happy to oblige!

A brilliant solution and very much one of those "Why didn't anyone think of that before" developments!

It wouldn't be so difficult to make a neat storage locker out of two sections of guttering to fit into the clips, so keeping everything tidy and safe.

Yes you could also add a short length of downpipe to drain away any water finding its way in.. laugh2
