I managed to get some good close-ups today at Cheltenham. First what I took to be a 4/4 Sport - but maybe not - stainless wires: This had the spare wheel hole cut out and four 'dzus' type fasteners as if it will have an alloy cover. Next is how the factory do the brake light switch in 2009: Here you can just make out the brake light switch on this LHD Aero - the black box on the left. Here's the trad leaf spring rear assembly viewed from under the spare wheel hole. And here's the front end of the leaf spring.... Gearbox assembly +4 - this looks exactly the same as my Roadster. Bellhousing (+4) - the yellow tube is the clutch slave pipe, so the current +4 also has a slave cylinder in the bellhousing like the Roadster. Not convenient when the seals fail.... Here's the rear suspension (nearside) looking forward: Couple more to go.....

Front suspension - note no steering dampers. This car had two grease nipples each side. One in the usual place and one on the top. Visible in this shot........ And that's it. It's been a long and wet day....... But very enjoyable.......

I fear I must take all the credit Dmat. I'm a point & click photographer, and my camera is an old Canon Ixus 60 which I intend to replace 'this year'. It's hopeless on long shots, and often blurs the whole scene. But I found one day when under a car that it takes splendid close up pictures which are usually crystal clear. Some of those suspension photos (above) when viewed 'unreduced' are the clearest I've ever had. So it will become my garage camera eventually. Boshly - sounds like you had a great time. I managed to meet up with MiniKeefy, and Frank4x4. I also had an insurance quote from Gott & Wynne who were very efficient and are looking at around £250 on 5,000 limited miles. So when renewal comes through at the end of August.....

I've just had a play with the trimming tool, and here's a closer view of the pedal assembly, which also shows clearly how the master cylinders are fitted.

Great to have the chance to meet up with you Dave. I knew you would have some great pics from those part made cars. I took a few myself but no comparison (Ixus 90 with shaky hands) We were recommended to use Gott & Wynne for managements first ever own insurance with me a second driver and paid similar amount with no need to have any 'no claims bonus' so very happy with them. They favour Morgan owners
