You got home just before Ballater was flooded & the A93 was washed away.
Certainly did Tim! I'd seen the forecast and new that the proverbial was about to hit the fan weather-wise but I didn't expect it to hit quite so hard or in such quantity. That bit of the A93 is going to take some rebuilding. The Dee has always been impressive when in spate but I've never seen anything like last week for sheer destruction.
We just had 2 days of solid rain here to welcome in the new year. Great for the farmers but not much joy for the campers. Today summer returned and we enjoyed a run over the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula for an ice cream and back for a cold drink at the beach cafe I played at NYE
Glad to hear you did not buy it as an ornament & you are not afraid to get it wet or dirty. I would rather drive cars than clean them though I do like it when all nice & shining.
