I just got the Morgan back and man does it sound good with the stage 1 kit! Thanks to Bret Abraham and everyone at Auto Europe for doing such a fantastic job. Now spring needs to hurry up and get here already!

Yes, but on people's advice I decided to save the cost of adding them. Can't reuse the original heat shields and you have to order brackets and a whole mess of stuff.

I believe you have to weld the fasteners in place on the new exhaust to use the original heat shields (this option was not offered by the dealership).

They make heat shields for this exhaust also, which are slightly larger and hug the body panel tighter, but you have to replace the exhaust mounting brackets and all related hardware. Which came to a total of around $1200 installed.

Morgan's exhaust supplier have redesigned the mounting for the stage 1.

The bottom of the heatshield bolts directly to the new mounting brackets rather than to the exhaust.

I'll try to get some more detailed pics tomorrow of the top mount.

How does it drive Charlie? Is the difference noticeable, apart from the sound?

I haven't seen anything about the stage 1 kit, and can't see it on
Morgan's website. Very tempted, and interested in whether you think it is worth it.

Unfortunately, this last Monday we had a winter storm come through that was bad enough that local government offices closed early (this never happens - maybe twice in the last 12 years) and this caused my delivery to be pushed back to Tuesday. The back roads between my house and the main roads are still an icy, slushy mess. I took an hour and cleared all the snow from my driveway for the delivery and the Morgan went about 10 feet in reverse from the trailer to the garage.

So, at this point, I can tell you it goes in reverse quite well. For me though, the main thing is the sound that it makes now; it is deep and loud, but with the exhaust a few feet from your ear it is not to the point of being unbearable. The M3W sounds as bad ass as it looks now; where as previously the exhaust note was a bit underwhelming when compared to the noise expected of a big American v-twin. Plus I do like the flat ended, rolled exhausts look over the stock angle cut tips. I tried taking a video with the cell phone but it doesn't really capture the sound well enough to do it any justice.

I will post more of a review once I have a chance to give it a proper go. But, based on my initial impressions, I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it.
