Exactly Heinz. You described it so much better than I did and English is supposed to be my first language. These days I am easily confused. I sometimes speak English to people who only speak Italian and vice versa. I would put it down to having just passed my 79th birthday except that I have been like that for years!

Peter, everyone who knows you personally would subtract at least 15 years of your age! I would be more than very happy if I could keep such a strong and good physique and mind, if I would reach your age at all. BTW my English is of lower average I would say...missing the knowledge of too many idioms, words etc. That makes my sentences more extended and more boring...

Heinz, A Mercedes "Magic Wand" does everything, indicators as normal, then lights as you describe and finally wipers and screen washers by turning and pushing the end of the wand. Although complicated they seem to work and last. I wonder if one could be adapted to fit! Back in the "good old days" the wand, on RHD cars, was on the right, so that the left hand was free to change gear. On LHD cars it was the other way round. We have the EU to thank for forcing the "indicate on the right" rule. So, for all RHD Morgans a Mercedes wand on the right side would be just about perfect!!

They are only £20 on ebay Peter. That should give you something to do you'll need the harness end from a Merc - you have two donor vehicles at home IIRC then make up an adaptor loom to fit between Mog loom and Merc Stalk. Let us know how you fair, a 3d Metal sinter printer maybe be handy for a full production run

All my cars, LHD, including the Morgan have the indicator/lights stalk on the left and the wiper stalk on the right. All the cars that I had in Australia, with the exception of the Maserati which was converted from LHD to RHD, had the indicator on the right, this included Japanese and Australian built cars. I would be astonished if this was an EU rule. More likely that the manufacturers are saving a few cents by not making both LHD and RHD versions of their controls.

Hello thank you all for your hints,
with your help I could identify my switch from the 2014 plus 4 as a Landrover Freelander part. When I am ready with the modification I will keep you posted.
Thanks Torsten
