Have only ever had the roller; never found it a problem, even on long runs - perhaps because I tend to wear fairly thick-soled 'chunky' shoes...

Don't chunky shoes create a 'cattle grid' effect with the roller Paul?? Luckily my feet are size 6, so small pedals and tight footwells are not a problem. Seeing out sometimes is though...

I'm a roller man  when I got the mog I treated my self to a couple of pairs of new shoes- a pair of sebago casual deck shoes and a pair of pointy Church's with a flexible leather sole for best, the Crockett & Jones boots I wear in the Landy were too chunky

I usually wear a pair of ScrewFix safety boots (look a little like hiking boots - these are similar: http://www.screwfix.com/cats/A344266/Workwear-PPE/Footwear/Dickies-Chukka-Boots). Haven't noticed any 'cattle grid' effect. Use the boots for work, but as ankle support is important, I tend to use them for general wear. Size 10 are small enough in RTA. When marshaling I have a pair of Doc Martins, in a 10, have to take a little care driving up Prescott with those on  Cheers,

About changing my Sport for a Roadster, I wanted more power and I was investigating this, the factory are offering a power upgrade on the Sport to 160BHP as a retro option. Whilst in the process of discussing this and it's costs, incidently about 4k with manifold work, omex ecu and throttle bodies, I had a mad moment and thought tho hell with it and started discussing the Roadster option. I had contacted Russell at RPM after his post on this site and jumped at a 2 tone red and gray 06 Roadster he had for sale. That was it, 2 ferry journeys later I had 225hp plus a librands exhaust system.

Lightsphere - is this the red body/grey wing combo supplied by Gills in the North East? If it is, then it was advertised for quite a while in Miscellany with my Roadster.

I always feel that you can't have too much power; as our friends from over the water say, you can't beat cubes!

Yes this is the very car, I have been interested in its past, it has 21k miles, which is unusual for such a recent morgan. You obviously had the chance to look at this option earlier when you chose your own. I would be interested in your thoughts. I was at the time of purchase I was focussed completely on the BHP although I have admired the 2 tone possibility with these cars and this fitted the bill. What clinched it for me was the shiney wheels, having a Sport deprives you of glittering corners.
