This is a pretty basic question, but a rather exhaustive search has failed to uncover any definitive info. What are the stud patterns (bolt circles) for both 4 and 5 lug wheels? I would like to swap my wire wheels for discs and am finding information thin on the ground.

For the 5 stud wheels it's 5 x 5" or 5 x 127mm. The front hubs for the Plus 8 came from the Rover P5 3500 saloon (sedan) and were, I believe, common to the Rover P6. As regards the Rover SD1 hubs beware as the stud size was converted to metric and was oversized slightly.

Unfortunately my knowledge of the PCD for 4 stud wheels fitted to Morgans is unknown to me.

The STUD pattern on TM are.

1st Jays.

2nd Dean Royal.

3rd Burgundy Mog.

The rest of us of us just live in Awe and Wonderment .

I think, but double check it, the 4 stud wheels were the same pattern as VW Beetle (the original, not this "modern" Golf based thingy...).

I'll guarantee it! Among the many wheels I sold Woodstock (a 72 4/4 with bolt on wheels) with were a set of wheels with VW beetle centres that I had Motor Wheel Services put new rims on.

The wheelnuts for the rostyle ones would have fitted, but so did the wheelnuts for an LT35 van. And they were smaller so less weight.

MMC bought a load of surplus Beetle Rostyles in the mid seventies. They looked pretty good on Morgans.

Note that other versions of the Beetle Rostyle do appear on Google search, but the one's Morgan used came at the end of Beetle production. I guess that's why they were left over.

I don't know what the offset is, but Morgans are not the same as a standard Beetle. It was a very specific model the Morgan ones came from.

No need to look around much as a lot of folk with these wheels pay a dealer to convert them to wires. So dealers usually have a stack of Rostyles to sell - or did when I bought a set.
