I drove the car today. It sounds superb....the video just didn't pick up the sound terribly well. Throaty, great intake noise, very few pops and bangs but nice burble on deceleration. The engine feels very sharp. The roads were pretty damp and I didn't want the embarrassment at having to take a bent car back to work...so I can't comment on pushing the car hard around bends, but the rear suspension over bumpy roads is very good....nicely planted and comfortable.
The brakes are a real improvement on the standard set up. Less brake pedal travel, perhaps due to the rear discs and a lot more feel and bite.
Starting the car is interesting...no key as such, just a fob that slips into a slot on the dash to the right of the steering wheel (Nice suede covered wheel by the way!) to switch off the immobiliser, a switch on the dash to turn on engine electrics and then a flick of the starter switch below....it feels special!
When I first saw the car originally I didn't like the interior. Sitting in it and driving it and I've changed my mind....the dash looks good and different, the brushed alloy door panels with Morgan logoed leather door pulls work well. The sharp edged gearbox cover didn't dig into my legs as I thought it might and as a whole, the interior works and makes the car feel special. I would have liked a "Powered by Cosworth" badge somewhere though!
very pleased to hear about responsive engine. not a fan of artificially generated pops and bangs of modern cars (Porsche and Jaguar), and am delighted the ARP4 does not have them! did you take any pics?

As has been said, hopefully some of the features on this car will filter on to mainstream production models of the future, I've no doubt that will be the case.
Perhaps the 'let the customer do the development' principle that serves MMC so well will iron out any issues that the factory may have overlooked during the thorough and exhaustive development programme.

I'm waiting for the 80th anniversary 4/4!!!!!!

Ideally - with bespoke options. I'll bet this is BMW technology. But "keyless" that goes into a slot is a lot more secure than keyless that simply opens the car and allows it to be started whilst the key is in your pocket. This is because the range of the transmitter is only enough to be read in the slot. I have no objection to this: the "key" enables the immobiliser and releases the steering column lock, then allows power to the master switch. The master switch must be turned on (this is a bit of theatre) before the start button is pressed. Anyway, Morgans are not interesting to the typical "tea leaf"...or so i'm told. I rather like the performance!

Whichever way they gain access, once in the car the thief plugs a hand-held ‘key fob’ programmer, freely and legally available on the internet, into the car’s on-board diagnostics (OBD) port to record the car’s vital systems data. Car makers are obliged by law to permit rival services to access the OBD, hence the existence of such devices. Once the fob is programmed - which takes less than 15 seconds - the thief is in control of your car.

I have a keyless fob for the wife's Nissan. I hate the fob and have taken it off my key chain. I dont like things in my front pockets so I put the keys in my back pocket. I get into the car and sit down. The car alarm goes off. I have pushed the alarm button on the fob. I get the keys out and turn off the alarm. I sit back down. The trunk pops open. I have pushed the trunk button on the fob. I get out and go and shut the trunk. I then go back to the seat and sit back down and the alarm goes off . . .
