ok, I am officially talked out of a used car. Both due to the large amounts of changes from the original car, some I had not thought of, like the thicker frame tubes, new pedal box, upgraded stock exhaust.... And the other is this is a purchase in magnitude second only to my home. If I am selling the guitar collection, and half the bikes, and my last Classic car to do this, I should get EXACTLY the bespoke car I want, I think.
Thank you ALL for your input!!

Thank you ALL for your input!! I think thats a well considered and wise move. Any used car is going to be someone elses dream rather than your's whcih you'll be enjoying long after the initial purchase. Now, the next most difficult bit - what colour

Thank you ALL for your input!! Oh, definitely new! +1 for black and red. What other factory options? For your consideration: Motolita.com There's just so much fun stuff to consider, head gear, goggles ('boysranfast.com'), a nifty set of proper driving gloves for summer and cooler weather (may I suggest kangaroo...simply delicious and as exotic as the 3 itself.. with the elastic wrist at leatherglovesonline.com)and most especially, the steering wheel. The std. one is just plain nasty, IMHO. Vrooom!
