Wasn't looking forward to taking my wife shopping today to Sainsburys in Witney but parked there was a lovely Burgundy 4 Seater Reg WA58 OPY, roof down. Must have been an even bigger shop than ours as it was still there when we left.
We weren't in our Morgan but wished we were and the sight cheered us up no end. Still amazes me how seeing another Morgan can raise the spirits.
Anyone on this forum own the car?

Not mine , but I did take my +8 out to do the food shop today.

Both the car and I needed some fresh air so I went down the A2 to Bluewater. It turned the normal boring trip to the shops into a wonderful invigorating drive, heater on full blast with the top down is a great way to travel.

The only issue was the carpark which had been salted , although the roads were clear. Peculiar logic.

Taking my 4 Seater the 'long way' to our 'local' Waitrose in Lichfield every weekend has become my unexpected pleasure too !

Richard I agree and like you will take a long route to carry out a routine shop for example driving 50 miles to purchase some milled flour from a farm shop!

The "long route" is like a guilty pleasure, (although I suffer no guilt) so I'm pleased I'm not alone. I've taken to doing it on trips to the airfield. Off the autobahn at the first opportunity and on to the country roads, opening it up on the short open stretches, slowing down for villages. And the mog seems to bring pleasure to those along the "long route" too with lots of waves and smiles. Just think, many of those villages and villagers might never have seen a Morgan until I took the "long route." This could become a public duty. drive

Very true - when I'm traveling on business and I see a Morgan, it makes the day

In complete agreement here, no point in taking the short route in a Morgan, it is even better if you can have Supertramp on the CD playing "Took the long way home" drive

+1 . it isn't mine as I am in Shanghai & missing the old girl.
Sat doesn't look good for a run to the Ox & Swan Mog Xmas dinner so I probably will be very sad & sit in it in the garage for a while smelling the leather
