Swapping between LHD and RHD, it's not my cup of tea. Anyway, the pound rate is higher than ever so it costs the same to buy a LHD ou RHD car frown

Thanks Brian for the pics laugh

We spent from 1990 to 1998 in Germany with 2 cars, one RHD Alfa 33 and one LHD Mercedes E Class. Then on returning in 1999 we had a LHD Mercedes E 200 and a RHD Alfa 156.

The only real issue are car parks, but you learn to just get out. Otherwise it isn't a real problem.

Only a couple of times I went out to a car, unlocked the door and got in, only to find the wheel wasn't in front of me.

IF I could get a LHD Aeromax in Europe for 30% less than the UK price for a RHD then T'd be very tempted....

Peter, I don't think that Aeromaxes are cheaper here in France though bizarrely Aero 8s are. In fact early Aero 8s probably sell for less than last of the line Trad +8s. There is a LHD one in Holland currently €111,111,111! Must be a misprint since I don't think even 250GTOs have reached that level!

Recently a 2002 RHD Aero 8 sold close to me for less than 40,000€ and by all accounts it had been quite well cared for. That's around £30,000, a price that was only available several years ago since when they have gone up by around £10k.

Cheers

The low roof line makes the car look much nicer!

One of my dislikes on the new Aero is the high roof line.

Apologies Corsu, my excuse is that swmbo insisted we went up to London a day early as she needed to buy some more 'stuff' for the house. We got back this morning so here are some photos from my phone:

HTH, as it also shows you how flat the hood irons fold. TBH I don't mind the slight compromise with the 11-stud hood as it really doesn't take long to put up, longer to put down than the Easy-Up in my experience. All I need to do now is get MMC to make a half-tonneau to cover the hood irons and the area behind the seats.

Lastly is a photo showing the difference between the 11-stud and the Easy-Up when they are up. Like Shooter I do like that hunkered down look of the old-style hood.

I hope I have discharged my promise Corsu? grin2

Now all you have to do is sign on the dotted line, is it going to be Plus 8 or new Aero 8? Do tell us Corsu? happy3
