I'll admit to being a wimp so far this year, my only excuse for not getting out and about being that since we've been getting roads and bridges washed away up here it is possible that the three wheeler is less than ideal. There's even a castle that is on the brink of being washed away; Abergeldie Castle and how it was.

I know it's gone awfully chilly out there, but the roads are currently salt free & the suns shining, so I had a lovely hour out just reminding myself exactly why I love the wee beastie..

Plus, not getting soaked is a bonus!

I even parked at Waitress to get some stuff for tea (Mrs SBM is out tonight..) and had a guy in a Range Rover tell me loved my car..!

Had a pootle up Deeside today, photos are in the Morgan Gallery. Not the warmest of days but very pleasant all the same. Only saw one other car with the roof down and it was a Beetle convertible, one of the new ones - don't think I've actually seen one with the roof down before! Driver of a bright yellow Gallardo Spider did flash his lights at me, did wave back even though he had his roof up.
Have decided I don't like the Dunlop "SP Sport FastResponse" rear tyre I put on back in the summer. As the weather cooled down I found that it needs some serious warming up before it wants to grip and that when things get properly cold it isn't interested in warming up at all. It being about nine tenths worn out its not great in the snow either. Who'd have thought it?!

Have you thought sbout putting a winter tyre on the rear?

Have indeed, might even happen this week! Going to have a look to see what is available, thinking of an all season type tyre rather than full on mud and slush. On the other hand, a full on set of studs might be a bit of a laugh.

Calum heard good reports about Nokian Weatherproof tyres. I have Nokian winter tyres on my regular driver.
I still do not think I'll get my M3W back up the hill to garage if I go out but did go out in my vintage Sunbeam yesterday. Cold hands should have had M/C gloves on.

That was the kind of tyre I was thinking of so have taken a punt on it...bit of luck should get it fitted up mid week.
