As Tim H commented, cars must be driven!

Slightly confused by the sideways mounted SU, so it functions as a down-draft carb. I didn't think SUs could be mounted that way, and still work properly.....anyone know for sure? Anyway the carb isn't period, more 1950s.

I'm with you on this one Peter, how would an SU work mounted that way? My experience of SUs (as fitted to my old Mini etc) says that it wouldn't.
Perhaps someone on TM will provide the answer.

From what I can see the SU is highly modified - cannot be standard/original fitment.
