Hi Everyone,
In true Morgan fashion, mine is different again. I have the cap as pictured but the aluminium tube passes right through it, and is connected to a 10mm od plastic pipe which vents out into the rear compartment. I have just fitted a small 'catch' bottle on the end of this hose - just to collect the small amount of oil that is pushed out.
Mine is a very early car - no. 004 - which might explain the development.
Regards Andrew

No magnet in mine, I think it is there just to stop nuisance venting of oil but will still allow air to pass through. Spot on.

I have an early car too. Original bevel box had the vent tube. Recent replacement bevel box does not. Orange cap in different place too.

Stealthy changes that no one is willing to "cop" to I'll bet. Actually guess I'm one of the lucky ones, my BB isn't too noisy, only a little when hot. I did however install a NASA duct just in case.
